The Nisse or Tomte, are Nordic gnomes popular in legends especially a Christmas time. In Scandinavian lore, these mischievous sprites are responsible for the protection of farms and demand respect from the farmers with payment in the form of a bowl of porridge.
The present day version of the Julenisse or Jultomte gnome is closer to our Western Santa Claus. He brings good children toys. Tradition still remains that a bowl of porridge with butter be left out for him, much like our milk and cookies for Santa.
But, come on... gnomes are so cute!!!! Our little folksy gnome starts with a cone as the base for his body, and includes accessories such as a bushy beard, pointy hat, and even braids to make a girl gnome! Complete with garden accessories, this gnome can be used for both Christmas and gardening themed cards!
Approx. size of assembled gnome: 2" x 3.5"
Our Frantic Stamper Precision Dies work in most consumer table top die cutting machines such as the Cuttlebug, Big Shot, vagabond, Boss Cut, and Grand Calibur.
Some dies may require the use of a metal shim depending on your machine and intricacy of the design.
