Product Warranty

Important Notice

To remain eligible for warranty coverage relating to shipping damage or broken components, customers must inspect the package and its contents immediately upon delivery and before starting assembly.

Any damaged or broken components must be reported immediately or within 48 hours of confirmed delivery.

If your order arrives damaged, please contact us with your order number and clear photos or video evidence of the damage sent via an email reply to your initial order confirmation email.

If damage is reported after the product has been assembled or more than 48 hours after delivery confirmation, we cannot verify whether the issue resulted from manufacturing defects or shipping damage. In such cases, replacement parts or repair services may still be offered, but at the customer’s expense.

Ride-On Toys Canada stands behind the quality and safety of every product we sell. Our warranty program is designed to provide customers with dependable support and transparent coverage terms. All newly purchased powered ride-on vehicles are protected against manufacturing defects occurring during normal use through our complimentary standard warranty, with the option to upgrade to an extended protection plan.

Standard Warranty Coverage

Covered components are eligible for one (1) replacement within the warranty period if a verified manufacturing defect or clear case of normal wear occurs.

The warranty period begins on the date of purchase and applies to individual components as outlined below.

Covered Components & Coverage Period

  • Motherboard — 12 months
  • Soundboard — 12 months
  • Battery Charger — 6 months
  • Battery — 6 months
  • Motor(s) (limited to one replacement per motor) — 6 months

Warranty claims apply to individual component replacements only. If several parts are requested within the same claim, the request will be treated as a combined replacement claim and evaluated under the Combined Replacement Value Restrictions listed below.

Combined Replacement Value Restrictions

The maximum replacement value is determined by the original pre-tax purchase price of the product:

  • Cost price ≤ $349.99 — Up to 60% of purchase price
  • Cost price ≤ $449.99 — Up to 40% of purchase price
  • Cost price ≤ $899.99 — Up to 25% of purchase price
  • Cost price ≤ $1,399.99 — Up to 20% of purchase price

Warranty Requirements

To process a warranty claim, customers must provide the following:

  • Photos or video showing the issue
  • Motor testing results for each wheel (when applicable)
  • Completion of troubleshooting steps with a Ride-On Toys CA technician

Root Cause Verification

If several components appear non-functional, our service team will first determine the root cause of the problem before approving replacements.

Motor Replacement Conditions

Motor replacements are approved only when an individual motor defect is confirmed immediately after reporting.

In many cases, problems affecting multiple wheels or functions are caused by factors such as:

  • Loose or disconnected wiring
  • Assembly errors
  • Incorrect battery installation
  • Excessive load weight
  • Electrical faults unrelated to the motors

Simultaneous failure of multiple motors is mechanically unlikely and usually indicates one of the issues listed above.

Standard Warranty Exclusions

The following items and circumstances are not covered under the standard warranty:

  • Go-kart wheels
  • Cosmetic or physical damage
  • Products used for commercial purposes
  • Damage resulting from modifications
  • Improper maintenance or lack of maintenance
  • Weather exposure or improper storage
  • Incorrect assembly
  • Product misuse or overloading
  • Accidents or water damage

Extended Warranty Coverage

Ride-On Toys Canada partners with CPS (Consumer Priority Service) to offer extended warranty protection.

CPS is a well-established provider of service plans for consumer products ranging from electronics and appliances to outdoor equipment.

Although Ride-On Toys Canada may assist with service and repair logistics, the extended warranty itself is administered through CPS, and claims must be submitted directly through CPS.

This upgraded warranty provides comprehensive protection covering parts and labour for one Ride-On Toys Canada ride-on vehicle.

The extended coverage begins 30 days after the purchase date.

Covered Components & Coverage Period

  • Motherboard — 2 or 3 years
  • Soundboard — 2 or 3 years
  • Electrical connectors — 2 or 3 years
  • Wiring — 2 or 3 years
  • Motor(s) — 2 or 3 years
  • Charger — 2 or 3 years
  • Battery — 2 or 3 years

Additional Coverage

One-time accidental damage protection including:

  • Water-related damage — 2 or 3 years
  • Cosmetic or superficial damage — 2 or 3 years
  • Body components (steering wheel, seat, frame, etc.) — 2 or 3 years
  • Force majeure events (unforeseeable events such as natural disasters) — 2 or 3 years

Extended Warranty Terms

Customers holding extended warranty coverage must submit a claim before receiving replacement parts or scheduling repairs.

Service cannot be provided to extended warranty customers without a scheduled appointment, either virtual or in person.

Coverage Value

Extended warranty holders receive coverage valued up to the original purchase price of the ride-on vehicle.

For example, a product purchased for $599.99 carries a total coverage value of $599.99, which functions as a credit balance within our Service Centre. Each repair or replacement part issued will reduce this balance accordingly.

How to File an Extended Warranty Claim

Claims can be submitted through CPS using the following methods:

Telephone: (800) 905-0443
Email: cs@cpscentral.com
Website: www.cpscentral.com

Customers will need to provide:

  • CPS warranty number
  • Ride-On Toys Canada order number
  • Proof of purchase or order confirmation
  • Product name
  • Product serial number (including colour)
  • A short description of the issue
  • Contact details matching the original purchase information

Extended Warranty Exclusions

The extended warranty does not cover:

  • Shipping costs related to replacement parts
  • Damage resulting from modifications
  • Improper or insufficient maintenance
  • Exposure to weather or improper storage
  • Incorrect assembly
  • Product misuse or overloading
  • Accidental damage that is not covered within the plan

Replacements and Settlement Options

If a product is determined to be beyond repair, the following remedies may be offered.

These remedies are limited to up to 50% of the original purchase value, adjusted for product depreciation and any previously approved claims:

  • Settlement cheque
  • Purchase credit
  • Replacement product

Ride-On Toys Canada reserves the right to void warranty coverage if product misuse continues after a warning has been issued. Warranty protection may also be revoked if company policies are violated or if abusive, threatening, or inappropriate conduct toward employees or representatives occurs.
